Hacks for Wellness

Welcome to Hacks4Wellness

Hacks4Wellness was created from a genuine passion for health, longevity, nutrition, exercise, and biohacking. As a woman in my forties, I’ve spent more than a decade exploring ways to improve my own health, from the fundamentals of nutrition, movement, and sleep to emerging research and new wellness technologies.

With a background in Public Health and certification as a Nutrition Coach, I combine what I’ve learned through education and research with my own real-world experiences and experiments.

Hacks4Wellness is where I share what I discover along the way, with one goal: to help make healthier living and longevity more practical, understandable, and achievable.

Personalized Nutrition

Is Personalized Nutrition the Future?

Have you ever wondered how health authorities and organizations can provide general dietary advice when we are all unique individuals? I mean, we are all different, so how come this general perception that we all should eat the same? Wouldn't it make more sense to have personalized nutrition plan? This is certainly something for the longevity community to put time and effort in. For people who are interested in biohacking, personalized nutrition is a natural part of life. We really like the benefits of intermittent fasting and what it can do for our health. Some even mean that it can promote longevity. Although, intermittent fasting for women is not as easy and problem free as one would hope. Instead, women need to take their sex hormones into consideration when thinking about starting with IF. Before we dig into that, let...

giving up alcohol

Why I’m thinking of giving up alcohol

Lately I've been thinking a lot about alcohol and its effect on health. I am not a heavy drinker but as most Swedes I usually drink a couple of glasses of wine during the weekends. Sometimes the win bottle has become the company during some weekdays as well. During the last year it's also become a habit to grab a bottle of beer from the fridge on Friday afternoon when all the work is done. Since I live very strict during the weeks with daily exercise and control over what I eat, the beer has become a weekly reward. The "Beer Reward" may have given me a temporary satisfaction. Although, isn't it strange that I work all week to improve and optimize my health and then...
