About Hacks4wellness

Hacks4Wellness.com is a science-backed wellness platform founded in 2024, created for women 40+ who want to take control of their health, slow the aging process, and feel stronger than ever. This is not a generic health blog. It is a personal project built on years of research, real-life experimentation, and a genuine passion for longevity.

The site covers everything from nutrition and fitness to biohacking, sleep optimization and supplements. All content is rooted in evidence-based research and personal experience. Think of it as following a friend who happens to have a background in public health, a certification in nutrition coaching, and an obsession with living well.

My Story

My name is Kajsa Martensson. I am a woman in my forties, living in northern Europe, with a biological age of 29. That number is not a coincidence. It is the result of years of studying, testing and applying the best longevity strategies I could find.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Health and have completed the Food Matters Nutrition Certification Program, which deepened my expertise in holistic and functional nutrition. With over 15 years of absorbing health research through studies, podcasts and books, my interest in this field runs deep.

Alongside my health journey, I am an internet entrepreneur with over a decade of experience building successful online businesses. My most successful company was sold for over 4.5 million USD in 2017. I now bring that same dedication and drive to Hacks4Wellness.

Outside of work, you will find me playing tennis or golf, lifting weights, running, or spending time with my family.

My Mission

I started this site because I wanted to share what actually works. Too much of the practical advice we receive about health and nutrition is influenced by big food and pharmaceutical industries. I wanted to offer an alternative voice, one that is honest, personal and grounded in real science.

If I can inspire even one person to make a small change that leads to a healthier, longer life, this platform has done its job. Health is contagious. One person changes, influences another, and the ripple effect begins.

Health doesn’t have to be complicated to work. It just has to be consistent.

Most people chase the next new trend before they’ve even nailed the basics: sleep, hydration, real food, movement, sunlight. But these aren’t beginner habits you graduate past, they’re the foundation everything else is built on. Skip them, and no supplement or biohack will make up the difference.

The best routine isn’t the most advanced one. It’s the one you can actually stick to for years, not just weeks. 🙌

For years, thinner thighs have been treated as the goal. New research suggests we might have that backwards. 🧐

A study following over 2,800 adults for more than a decade found that people with bigger thighs had a lower risk of heart disease and premature death than those with thinner thighs. Researchers believe muscle plays a major role in that protection, muscle helps regulate blood sugar, supports metabolism, and reflects an active, strong body.

This isn’t about chasing a certain look. It’s about building a body that’s actually built to last. 💪

Doctors and researchers use markers like these to help predict how well someone is likely to age, and none of them require a lab test. 👆

Grip strength, balance, gait speed, muscle mass, and posture can reveal a lot about your health long before disease shows up. The best part? Every single one of them can be improved through training, no matter your age. 💪

Your future health isn’t decided by chance.
It’s built by what you practice today. 💚

Cortisol isn’t the enemy. It’s supposed to rise when you’re stressed and come back down afterward. The problem is when it stays elevated for too long, something that becomes more common in midlife as hormonal shifts can put extra strain on your stress response system. 😬

Chronically high cortisol can show up in ways that are easy to dismiss as ”just getting older”: stubborn belly fat, waking up tired no matter how much you slept, sugar cravings you can’t shake, or feeling wired at night but exhausted during the day. Even getting sick more often can be a sign, since cortisol can suppress immune function when it stays elevated for too long. 🌡️

For women over 40, managing stress isn’t just about feeling calmer. It’s closely linked to metabolic health, sleep quality, and healthy aging. If several of these sound familiar, it may be worth taking a closer look at your stress levels 💚

💬 How many of these apply to you right now?

There’s an uncomfortable truth in this quote.

Modern healthcare is incredibly valuable when we’re sick or injured. But most healthcare systems are designed to treat disease, not to reward prevention. 😬

That means your daily habits matter more than the system was ever designed to encourage.

Nobody profits when you go to bed on time, eat real food, move your body consistently, and manage your stress. But you do. 💚
